How does Luzardo estimate cattle weight?
You take a short video or three photos from different angles around the animal with your smartphone. Our AI, built on convolutional neural networks and transformer models, estimates the animal's volume and weight from those images. No scales involved.
How accurate is it?
We have two models. The phone-only model works entirely offline and hits approximately 93% accuracy. The second model pairs your phone with a compact accessory we provide and reaches above 95%. Both are available to all partners and work on any iPhone or Android.
Do I need special equipment?
Just a smartphone. The phone-only model needs nothing else. For higher accuracy, we provide a small accessory that pairs with your phone. No scales, no infrastructure, no installation.
Is this stressful for the cattle?
No. You are taking photos, not running animals through a chute. There is no physical contact and no disruption to normal behavior. Traditional weighing events can cause cattle to lose up to 5% of their body weight from stress alone. With Luzardo, the animals don't even notice.
What data do I get?
Each animal gets a timeline tracking every weigh-in and event from birth to sale. A digital cow passport records origin, weight history, and genetics in a verified record that goes with the animal to buyers. You can rank your herd by average daily gain, current weight, or breed. The platform also logs illnesses, vaccines, and treatments per animal.
How much does it cost?
We are in pilot phase and working with early partners now. Sign up on our website to get on the waitlist and learn about pricing. It will cost a fraction of buying and maintaining a physical scale.
What breeds does it work with?
Any breed. But our AI needs to learn the physical characteristics of your specific breeds first. That means photographing about 100 different animals per breed during onboarding. After that, accuracy improves as more data comes in.
How does onboarding work?
You give us access to your animals. If you have a scale on your operation, or access to one nearby with the same breed, that's all we need. We bring the cameras, hardware, everything. You don't pay for any of it. Once we've collected data from your breeds, your staff can start weighing from their phones.

How does it help with traceability?
The digital cow passport gives each animal a verified record of its weight history, health events, and vaccinations. That record travels with the animal to buyers and satisfies export market traceability requirements. No extra paperwork on your end.
Can it integrate with my farm management software?
We are building integrations with common platforms. During the pilot phase, you can export data from your Luzardo dashboard. If you need a specific integration, let us know and we'll figure it out.
